Leaving Samui...

Happy and blessfull for having spent these two weeks in Samui, I´m now leaving Thailand for snow and cold weather back in Sweden... Just posting a vid of my daily beach view:

Watermelon bliss....

Yes.... watermelon, watermelon, watermelon..... you know, this lovely, juicy, crispy, sweet, inviting fruit.... Been eating pretty much just watermelon for the last few days, trying to let my body rest a bit from heavier foods. Had some at the beach the other day:

And we were out having a look at local orchards. Saw some durians and bananas:

These ones Petr cut down, unripen, but they now sit and wait to get yellow and sweet.

And yesterday, I had my second Durian taste..... and it was gooood. Strangely, it tasted.... so much nicer... and a bit addictive, then the first time..... might eat some more durian coming week :)

This, apparently, king of fruits.

Now - out on a boat trip. Just need some lunch first. Hmmm.... maybe Ill try some watermelon......Ive heard it´s supposed to be tasty around here....

A bit too much sun...

Been feeling low today - woke up a bit swollen and pink like a pitthaya:

Did a bit too much sun yesterday... who wouldnt. My bleak winter body got a shock I think - sun! And oh, a lot of it! And ocean :) -but, as we all know, water will reflect sun rays very efficiently...

...so today Ive mostly just stuck to my room, tryin to avoid the sun. And - puttin on loads of Aloe, both fresh and tubed. Ill be better tomorrow, no doubt. Just need to listen to my body now - and rest.

It´s interesting though, right now Im eating just lovely fruits and some greens - and I feel great. Im not havin any cravings, and I must say I feel perfectly full. Dont look for any more foods in the evening and I dont wake up hungry. It feels so good! So, will take more phots of all the lovely fruits we eat here.

At Samui :)

Now in Thailand!! Among geckos and mangoes, damp heat and pawpaws. Just settling in after long plane trip. From todays beach walk:

Pretty nice.... water is warm... and sun is hot. We have a pool here as well, when the ocean feels to far away (five minutes walk...):

No pics of food tonight -will be more coming days. But today, like all days will be here - its all about the fruits :) JUST sweet, ripe, tropical fruit. And Ive had a few green leaves as well... AND some DURIAN....... First taste!! It was nothing like I thought it would be.... thought it would be a sweet taste - which it wasnt. More of a complex taste - lots of things going on. And the texture! Like Petr said: its like cake! Lots of sugar and fats - in a sort of mushy consistency :) I havent decided yet what to think about the durian.... Ill try it again and will come back to you on that one...

And a slow yoga today with Anette, that was so nice. More tomorr, as every day, morning and evening. I just have to pinch myself - is this a dream or is this my reality: Sun, Warmth, Fresh fruits and Yoga - all put together by two really sweet people, Petr and Anette. If you mist out this year, make sure to make your reservations for next year!

Now - some after-durian rest, relaxing on the veranda.... maybe a swim?.... hmmmm, or just go to bed early....

Just tried out an old coffee bean grinder - now turned into a seed grinder! Once upon a time, it belonged to my great grandmother, but now I found it sitting at my parents place - doing nothing. So, I decided to grind some flaxseeds...

It looks quite beautiful, doesn´t it? And the flax did get all grinded up - after quite a bit of grinding. Not the quickest piece of machinery...

This is how the actual grinder looks like:

Hmmm, think Ill use it occasionally.... will stick to my Blendtec for now :)

Carrotjuice-monday

LOTS of beautiful snow here now - and more to come! Myf looks like she is swimming more then walking...

After morning walk: juice time :) Today with:

4 carrots

bunch watercress

1/4 cucumber

some cabbage

big slice lemon (organic, with peel)

Result:

Whenever greens and reds are mixed, in a juice or a smoothie, the resulting color is a bit.... sort of brown..... not so attractive.... But the taste, as always, superb!

Off to Asia in four days!! Have a beaut day - /A
